British Army Christian Chaplain’s scarf or stole badge. King’s crown, silver and gilt. (pre-1953)
A silver cross over an oak and laurel wreath, with a imperial or King’s crown over. In the centre a gilt medallion with blue enamel background, this in the form of fretted circlet containing the text “In This Sign Conquer”, within which is a further four lobed cross. The reverse has a large steel pin fitting. 67mm tall, 45mm wide.
