Default 19th County of London St Pancras.

I have two examples of this badge one with South Africa 1899-02 the other South Africa 1900-02.
Puzzling! Can anyone help with an explanation as to the difference.
Thanks Tony.

Default 19th County of London battalion (St Pancras)

Hi Tony, According to John Gaylor's book Military Badge Collecting, one variety carries the correct dates 1900-02, while another struck in error is dated 1889-1902. regards John

Tony.

Further to the previous posts, both dates, (correct and incorrect) are found on badges constructed of the various metals and also appear on Officers' badges.

Regards.

Brian
