Default Airborne division pegasus badge

Hi, I trust this is an original badge but does anybody from which period - WW2 or later? If it is possible to date a badge, how is it done? Cheers, Rick

This defintely are ww2 ones were you can see the print of the Peggy behind -it is also the general look-feel-colour. Some fakers have tried to also have peggy print at the back but these are very poor if you know the good ones.

Cheers
Jean-Baptiste

Default Airborne Forces Formation Badge

Hi Ravrick,
Believe your badge dates from WWII, because of diagonal weave (bias) in the orientation of the badge to the cloth. Under my previous posts you can find a more through discussion of this indicator. Look for "Diagonal versus Horizontal Weave". You may also want to check a guide I maintain on E-Bay which includes a detailed analysis of righteous vs repro versions of this famous formation badge. The URL is: http://reviews.ebay.com/Buyer-s-Guid...00000003506743. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Arnhemjim
