Default First World War officer cadet?

Hi,
A friend has this picture of his granduncle.
Could be an officer cadet or in an OTC. The badge looks like a fusilier regiment badge but details are hazy, sorry.
Any ideas welcome. Thanks,
Tinto

Default Officer cadet

Hi,
I'm not overly familiar with uniforms etc, but may I offer the following observations-
a) no cuff/shoulder rank insignia is shown (that I can see)
b) I believe the white band around the cap was used to denote Officer Cadets but what time frame this was I don't know.
c) Could this be a member of a Great War Officer Cadet Battalion?

Regards, Stephen.

Can you "blow up" his arm? It looks as if he might have some flashes up.

Hi Stephen, and BWEF,
Thanks for your comments.
Unfortunately, I cannot improve the quality of the image, it is what my friend sent me, but after "blowing up" the arm, I could not see anything of note.
I would go with the notion that he was an officer cadet of some sort.
Tinto
