First World War officer cadet?
Hi,
A friend has this picture of his granduncle. Could be an officer cadet or in an OTC. The badge looks like a fusilier regiment badge but details are hazy, sorry. Any ideas welcome. Thanks, Tinto |

Officer cadet
Hi,
I'm not overly familiar with uniforms etc, but may I offer the following observations- a) no cuff/shoulder rank insignia is shown (that I can see) b) I believe the white band around the cap was used to denote Officer Cadets but what time frame this was I don't know. c) Could this be a member of a Great War Officer Cadet Battalion? Regards, Stephen. |

Can you "blow up" his arm? It looks as if he might have some flashes up.

Hi Stephen, and BWEF,
Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, I cannot improve the quality of the image, it is what my friend sent me, but after "blowing up" the arm, I could not see anything of note. I would go with the notion that he was an officer cadet of some sort. Tinto |
