does anyone know anything about this medal?... im putting together an exhibit to expand upon a Militia Muster that we have where i work, and im hoping to tie in some medals / insignia related material... ive found some mixed information online...

im somewhat confused as there are several designs / strikes, the first batch was destroyed, and who were the medals issued to?...

can anyone help?!...
