Default Unknown Patriotic Badge WW1

I hope this has been posted in the right section, it IS some sort of lapel badge.

This flower came with a lot of lapel and patriotic badges, sold in England during WW1. They are the sort of thing that was sold on "flag days".

Does anybody recognise it?

Here is a view of the reverse of the flower, which might help.

It is very similar to the flower sold by the WHW in WWII.

Thanks for your help.

I have just tried googling WHW & I think you mean Winterhilfswerk. There is actually a similar flower in the poster on the top right of this link:

I suppose it is possible that a WW2 German item has been added to this small collection of items over the years. Most are WW1 allied though, mostly national flags.
