Default Essex Regiment

Thought this brooch would be of interest. At a glance I would think most forum members would think "Cavalry".It was probably made as a one off circa 1960s.The roller saftey catch on the retaining C clasp is a good indication of a more modern era. They have made it in 9ct white gold? adding a 9ct yellow gold & enamel base scroll.Very detailed workings on the rear.No markings at all.A very interesting brooch.
