Badges of TA RTC ACCs
Can anyone confirm/deny whether the TA 19th-26th Armoured Car Companies of the Royal Tank Corps between 1922-1939, wore their yeomanry cap badges, or wore the RTC badge....the 23rd certainly had their own badge as 23rd London ACC (2 versions, before their discrete own as the Sharpshooters in 1940)...but there is little information about the others?

The 20th (Fife & Forfar Yeomanry) Armoured Car Coy wore their own cap and collar badges. RTC insignia worn was the tank arm badge and RTC shoulder titles. I think the 19th (Lothians & Border Horse) were the same.
Hope this helps Rob |

That's a great help, esp with the photo as evidence. Also thanks for the extra info on sleeve and shoulder...it seems that the trend for all then was to wear their yeomanry badge...oh well, looks like I'll have to expand my collection!!!! Many thanks again
