Default MOD UK Art Collection

This is, in my opinion, a surprisingly good site - even though only a few items in this huge collection are illustrated. Mike

And if you then factor in the material that is privately owned by the Regiments ... Well the range, quality and scale of the collections is staggering!

You will now be placeed on the 'No Christmas Card list', and possibly be monitored by some organisation that does not want to be identified.

The bust of Kitchener used to sit in the "Chief of the Imperial General Staff's Conference Room" ..on the second floor of the Old War Office. Much in demand to impress foreign visitors for conferences and I booked it many times. Trouble is the acoustics were... sierra hotel one tango. High ceiling, thin windows, lots of traffic. And for some reason buses would change gear, which would make the windows rattle. As an occasional historical guide in the building, I would point HHK out. (I wasn't beyond patting him for luck, either).
