16th Lancers Pennants
Apologies as this is not a question within the scope of a "badge", but this section seems more suitable than in the general section.
Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the this Regiments history, but can someone let me know whether the 16th Light Dragoons (raised 1759) / name changed to 16th (The Queen's) Lancers in 1861 - within its existence - ever have lance pennants that were blue and white rather than red and white? If they did, what was the period of use? Many thanks, david |

David. The 16th changed title to Lancers in 1816 not 1861. Do a Google on 'Lance Pennons' and '16th Lancers' for loads of history. I've had a quick trawl myself but there is only mention of red over white. Incidentally, they are called 'pennons' not 'pennants.'
