Default Best Regimental Motto's

I'm quite interested in regimental motto's, just wanted to hear what you think are the best, most obscure or even worst etc.

For me it has to be the Para's Utrinque Paratus "Ready For Anything", but then I'm biased as they have the best everything

Also like Coldstream Guards "Second to none"

The NFs "Quo Fata Vocant" - my favourite, & so much "better" than its RRF "replacement", " Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense".

If you'd allow the RN in how about HMS Fisgard's "Non manibus solum sed corde"? "Not only with your hands but with your heart"

Thought that was the one in use when I was at RM Poole, and the new one is "By strength and guile"

RN are indeed welcome and that's a great motto

Submarine service......

"We come unseen, but not unsmelt"

Of course, that was in the old days, when washing facilities on the old diesel boats was somewhat lacking!

Very similar to "Wherever the army goes the pong goes!

The Raiding Support Regiment:
"Quit You Like Men"
(First Epistle of St Paul to the Corinthians, Chapter 16, Verse 13). The order of words reversed by their detractors, so it is said. Mike
