Default Captain A.G. Mayhew India 1932

An acquaintance has a hall marked silver presentation cigarette box on which is inscribed:

"Presented to Captain A.G.Mayhew by H.H. the Khan of Kalat. May 1932 Quetta India "

Almost reminds me of Carry on up the Khyber but it has not be possible yet to find out anything about Captain Mayhew so anything members might be able to provide about him would be much appreciated.

P.B.

( sorry about the quality of the photo )

Peter, hope this link works.

His name is mentioned on page 777 but it looks like he was on Army in India Reserve of Officers.

https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/...34129/page/777

he is mentioned in Hansard here

http://liparm.llgc.org.uk/data/S5CV0...980-01987.html

But the best thing is he is mentioned as Blaster A. G. Mayhew, Quetta Club Ltd., Quetta, Baluchistan, India. Apparently he was a bit of a froth blower!!!!
