Liberation of Bergen Belsen 15 April 1945
It was very good to see Gena Turgel, one of the last survivors of Bergen Belsen being interviewed for BBC TV today, the 70th Anniversary of the liberation of the camp by 11 Armd Div. Her late husband Norman Turgel was present at the liberation as a member of a Field Security Section (as a Sgt, Int Corps. They later married.

My late Brother in Law was a bulldozer driver in the Royal Marines and was at the clean up at Bergen Belsen , although we know he was there that's all we know as he simply wouldn't talk about it. I too visited Auschwitz and the only word to describe it is indescribable.
