Matching pair of combined operations badges
I picked up this matching pair of combined operations patches a while back. About 7.5 cm in diameter. They look hand made to me. Any suggestions?
Cheers, Pieter |

Combined Ops
It is hard to tell from the photo but if there are lots of hand tied knots on the reverse these are copies. If the thread is continous then they are period machine made on a 'imitation hand embroidery machine that was common for wartime production

Combined Operations Formation Badges
Pieter,
I'm not going to make a definitive judgment on the examples you have shown, however you may want to visit the web site I've put together on this specific badge in order that you might make a better assessment. The web site is: http://reviews.ebay.com/WWII-British...:-1:LISTINGS:3 I think it will give you some help. Jim Arizona Territory |

Hello,
In my opinion they are modern reproductions made in Pakistan. Cheers. J-F |
