Help with WW1 medal roll
I'd appreciate some help understanding the attached medal roll book.
My grandfather is Leslie G. Collier number 305955, the last entry on the page. I'm keen to know where he served. The page has four columns titled "Theatres of war in which served". My grandfather has a O in the first column and a tick in the third column. Does this give useful information on where he might have served? Any help is appreciated. James |

Hi James
Here's a few links to more info: http://www.1914-1918.net/soldiers/campaignmedals.html http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/r...-cards-ww1.htm Otherwise I'm sure someone on here can provide the information Cheers Colin

Thanks for the links. There's no information on the theatres referred to in the columns "Theatre of war in which served" in the medal book.
I'll keep searching.... Cheers James |
