That style of belt buckle was IIRC phased out in about 1997-8, but I'm not 100% sure. They changed to the new style belt buckle I believe (the new one has a smaller edge than the pebbledashed one you show).

Hi Brian,

I`m always very sceptical of these belts because there is a lot of flimsy junk out there that wouldnt last five minutes on a real Para's uniform.

Below is a real belt that was actually worn in the TA, note the buckle does differ from the belt you have shown. My belt was vet sourced.

My belt is for sale and I`m offering a life time guarantee with it that is the real deal and not flimsy eBay junk. I did see you advert but I didnt think you wanted one of these belts to add to your collection.

Thats the style they changed over too, I have a few of these stable belts (1 para, 1 SAS, 1 Sigs and 1 264 sig sqn) they are all the same weight and construction, genuine supplier sourced, not chinese copies :-)

Hi Tom you can see a video of the new buckle here, there are differences between that and the buckle above. Note the length of the neck of the buckle.

We lost our TA Para's in 1988 so the belt has to date from before then.

You are not necessarily wrong as 4 Para TA are still alive and kicking. 15 and 10 para were disbanded but not 4 Para.
