Default Lamb and Flag

Happened across this establishment recently, and given its obvious associations with a certain cap badge, couldn't resist a few photos:

I wonder if there are any other such watering holes with badge-type names?

Regards,

Peter.

Obviously I am going to mention a pub linked to the York and Lancs

This pub is just around the corner from the Y&L museum but I wouldn't recommend a visit to the pub after a visit to the museum!

Good one, Ivan. Thanks for that, mate.

Wilf,

It was pretty crowded when I passed - it's just behind Covent Garden.

How very dare you Wilf, the Cat and Cabbage in Rotherham relates to the Y&L regt NOT the Hampshires!

(although I know both badges have the same nickname)

Hi Peter,

I used to drink in here in the 1980's - just off Covent Garden - right?

Was in there once with a plastered up bust leg and Terry Jones of Monty Python fame managed to kick it.

Seems my response to him it would have made good material for a later episode in one of his productions...

Regards

Chris

Lovely story, Chris. I hope Mr. Jones duly made amends and offered to compensate you in the form of your favourite double.

Hope the leg didn't suffer too badly.

Cheers,

Peter.
