Default Re: Identification of an Old Comrades Association Badge.

Hello everyone,

I bought this badge some time ago and have never been able to identify what regiment or unit this badge belongs to. If anyone has any ideas, I look forward to receiving your comments.

Many thanks,

TheBreaker02

Complete guess, but the Roman numerals are for 16.

The 16th Foot became the Bedfords, and there was an 8th battalion:

Slinks off waiting to be shot down in flames!

PS

Just checked the facing colour and, according to this source, it was deep yellow until 1881 and then became white.

The Old Comrades Association Badge looks too modern to relate to WW1 unit.
8th Army, 16th?, just a thought!

OCA badges for WW1 unit associations were still being made into the 1940s, Bedfordshire could be correct, some battalions wore a black/yellow flash

Post Re: Identification of an Old Comrades Association Badge.

Hello,

I'd like to thank everyone for their comments and suggestions regarding this badge. There is no makers name on the reverse, so no clue's there.
I do believe that this is an old badge even though of it fairly modern look, as it is extremely well made. Perhaps during the 30's or 40's.

Thank you,
