Try the 1st Floor of Cavendish - but high rents do mean high prices!

Last time I was in York, April I think there is a coin dealership in the Shambles, he had a few badges in the shop window, nothing special though!
Regards Tony.

Hi Dave,
As mentioned Cavendish Antiques which is in Stonegate is a good place to have a look.
It is run by a nice couple, Peter and Carol, they usually have a full wall of badges on display but the prices are premium.
On the same street there is another Antiques Centre that has a few case displays of badges and militaria but again high prices, well worth a look though.
The Red House Antique centre did sell badges but now the dealer has gone, bit of a shame because he a box full at £3 each!

Enjoy your visit
Paul

Most of the good shops no longer exist. But if you are in Yorkshire there are 2 excellent dealers that live within 30 miles of York. Bas Bruntlett and Peter Taylor. I know that Bas`s stock is excellent though and he does allow visitors a private audience. I am sure Peter will do the same though i have never visited him. If you are interested you could PM Peter as he is a member of the forum or PM me for Bas`s telephone number. Both live close to each other so you may be able to visit both in an afternoon!

Cheers, Dave

PS, Cavendish Antiques buy much of there stock from Bas!

Default Thankyou all for help so far

Hello, thankyou all for your help so far, I will be sending some PM's on Thursday. My wife has noticed that there is a large car boot sale on Saturday mornings and a large market at Selby, are these worth visiting?

Thanks Dave
