Default Update to 2 badge RAF beret

Hi again Gents, attached there is a picture of my late Father wearing the aforementioned RAF beret with two badges clearly visible, hopefully someone has knowledge of what the smaller badge could be and why 2 badges are being worn together.
kind regards Neil

I don't know about anyone else, but when I click on the picture it seems to be only about 1 inch high! I can hardly see if he is wearing a beret, let alone 2 badges...
