Canadian Signals and Recce
Hi, I would like an opinion on the two badges illustrated, one is a Royal Canadian Medical Corps and one is 17th Duke of Yorks Royal Canadian Hussars. Firstly, the Medic's badge looks to me like it is too shiny, I have my doubts as to it authenticity. I have been told by a couple dealers that some Canadian badges were made like this and that they are genuine. The other is Brass badge but the rear is completely flat brass. Fortunately I didn't pay too much for these, but I would like to know for the future what I should look for. I would welcome any advice.

I don't like the 17th Hussars badge, cast copy. The RCAMC looks okay, but appears to have flat lugs?

Canadian Badges
Thanks Bill, the 17th DOY is an awful copy, the lugs on the RCAMC are round but appear to have been split on the edge at some stage and then re-soldered.
