Inniskilling Dragoons veteran
Does anyone know anything about this silver badge -- when and where it was manufactured, and how many were issued? I was told it was made in the later 19th century for surviving Waterloo veterans of the regiment, but nothing more specific. Certainly the figure is wearing the 1812 pattern uniform.

Inniskilling Veterans Badge
Hi Lettman
Based on nothing more than a scientific wild-assed guess, could it have been something purchased by those serving in the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons at the time of the "Geddes Axe" in 1922, to perpetuate the memory of their service before the amalgamation? Really I have no idea but feel sure lots of collectors will be much better informed. Incidentally its a very nice badge, very desirable, Best wishes Gordon |

Thanks so far, gentlemen. It's certainly a very nice item -- it was love at first sight, even though I have nothing else to the Inniskillings.

The centre figure is from the Waterloo monument outside Duke of Boots house No. 1 London. in / near Hyde Park
The Regiment sold some lovely limited statues of it before the last amalgamation. I had one but sold it on. |

OK, thanks, that clears up the origin of the figure. Now to find one of those statues to go with the badge . . .
