Smile England 12 hour pick ups

Hi all,

Had a scout round on my first day in England for a week's work. Met a chap in a pub...

Some very nice ones and one in particular I have wanted for many years. Can you guess which one?

Cheers Dean

The gilt one with the silver castle, or the armoured car.

Cool 1st prize

Dean,

My bet is the Northants Yeomanry on the right (sorry I am an old git with poor eyesight) but it looks tasty . . !

Rob, my eyes are dodgy too but it looks like the officers badge with "FIRST" in place of "IMPERIAL" on it. If so then I'm all in agreement with you. Just had a closer look, different glasses, definitely 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry officers pattern which I assume must date from 1939 to 1956 period.

I reckon it must have been somebody along the lines of Rod Flood or Geoff Newman

Thanks for the compliment Dean but I don't think so. My knowledge is sadly lacking in a number of areas (this being one of them) and you are probably right about the Lanarkshire Militia. Regards Jeff

A collector who has retired from his or her working life, or, a collector who has retired from collecting?
