Default Who wears these WW1 jackets?

Hi. I'm a novice. I've been selling a few WW1 postcards on ebay and keep coming across men wearing these jackets. I've had no luck using google images so thought I'd ask the experts here. Thanks.

You never make a fool of yourself by asking but you can make a fool of yourself by being too proud to ask. What is blindingly obvious to one person can easily be completely unknown to another.

Red tie, white shirt and blue uniform.

The wounded soldiers said that, although they didn't mind fighting for the flag, they did object to being dressed in it!

I believe I once read that it was first introduced in order to stop the men being served in pubs. Can anybody confirm this?
