Yes, known as Winston Bobbies. I have not seen one for sale for some time now but I beleive that there are 2 versions of the badge, 1 with a pin fixing N&S and the other with blades. I was told this was for fixing to a bowler hat for gentlemen.
Here are mine.

Just for interest:-
This was an armed force formed by Winston Churchill in 1911 following the Sydney Street Siege.

Winston's Bobbies as they became known was a paramilitary force of patriotic volunteers raised to support the Metropolitan Police in protecting life and property during times of civil strife. On the outbreak of WW1, part of the volunteer Civil Force was embodied as a labour battalion and most of the remaining personnel were absorbed by the 28th County of London Battalion ( Artists Rifles ). They did serve on the Western Front, but after the war the V.C.F was not reformed.

As far as I recall they did not wear a uniform but every day clothes but wore the badges on civie hats. They may have also worn arm bands.

Hi,

My pinned version, plus a collar, cost me £60. I consider that reasonable as a lone badge, whatever the fixing, can sell for £50-60. Ebay, as is the norm, will create dramatic anomalies.

Cheers,

Phil

I have a lugged version and a pin/broached (n-s) one and these average out at about £50-£60 each. The bladed version should be in the same region.
