Default CMP fake?

This post http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ad.php?t=18617 prompted me to post this one, quite similar in construction:
I have this strange CMP badge, detailed veined leaves, thin tapered and folded slider, very yellowish, not unlike some Canadian badges and what I believe to be a bad sign, a straight scroll, compared to the usual curved scroll.
Any comments welcome.

Rgds,
Thomas.

Hello Thomas,

The construction is indeed very similiar, especially that detail in the leaves. We will have to wait and see what Ry and the other guys think.

Thanks for posting your cmp badge,

Phil

I contacted the guy who sold the RE badge to me yesterday. He replied earlier saying that it was a part of his dad's collection. His father was in the RAMC and recently passed away. He knows nothing more about it.

Cheers

Phil
