Not sure if this is what is required and probably of little interest. I wore the lion and palm tree shoulder badge during NS with R Signals at Calcutta Camp, Pasir Panjang 1951 / 2. The new Princess Barracks were being built nearby and our unit were the first to move in about November 52. Our old tented Calcutta Camp has long since disappeared but the new barracks still stand and were being used as a University during my last visit about 2003. . Signed B D Phillips
My late dad wore the palm and lion in 1947 in Singapore. He was based at a Transit Camp (or was just called Transit Camp?) serving with the Royal Engineers attached to the Black Watch if I remember him telling me correctly.
I would love to get a hold of one these.
