Default The Queens Own Yeomanry

Hi Guys,

In 1971 the A/A version of The Queens Own Yeomanry was mooted for re-design in relation to the fox.

Attached is a photo of an example from the era.

Would members please post any different examples here.

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris,
I'm not sure if mine is different from yours but here it is anyway.
Cheers, Tinto

Hi Tinto,

Same badge, same maker and same slider. I have found some correspondence on a re-design to the fox but I have no idea what I'm looking for at the moment - that is of course, if the fox was actually re-designed.

Thanks for the photos though!!!

Regards

chris

Chris,

I have only ever seen one style of fox. the fox was a diffeent design in its predecessor unit so they might have wanted to go back to the older pattern but never done it.

Hi Alan,

Could be - the minutes of the Army Dress Committee where this was raised give no reason or explanation. The do give a sketch number of the new design of the badge and this sketch was originally added to the minutes but now missing.

A different design may come up in A/A but we will have to watch this space.

Regards

Chris
