Default TAVR III Units

Hi Guys,

Does anyone own the following anodised aluminium cap badges:

Devonshire Territorials
Buckinghamshire Regiment (also known as Buckinghamshire Battalion)

If so, can they let me know the marking on the slider.

I suspect that it is either:

J.R GAUNT LONDON LTD. (with full stop after LTD)

or

FIRMIN LONDON

Regards

Chris

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the replies.

Alan, have I got things wrong re:

Buckinghamshire Regiment (also known as Buckinghamshire Battalion)

bit as you have given two examples of anodised aluminium cap badges.

OK - Devonshire Territorials is following J.R.GAUNT LONDON LTD. (with full stop) or FIRMIN LONDON. I was expecting this but Buckinghamshire Battalion is J.R. GAUNT B'HAM. On reflection this is probably right too as I believe it went to ACF later on - need to do more work on this bit.

But no J.R.GAUNT LONDON LTD. (with full stop) so far.

Starting to fall into place a bit this end.

Regards

Chris

Thanks UKBrits,

I can see what's happening now.

Ignoring Buckinghamshire Battalion and all seem to be by (or should I say marked with)

J.R. GAUNT LONDON LTD. (with full stop)

with the exception of the Devonshire Territorials which comes also comes marked

FIRMIN LONDON

UKBRits, I have gone wrong somewhere in my collection - can you post a piccy of your Buckinghamshire Regiments badge for me when you get a mo.

Regards

Chris

Hi UKBrits,

As well as the Buckinghamshire Territorials badge can you post quality scans of the front and back of the two Devonshire Territorials.

I want to see if they came from the same or at least the obverse die. I suspect that they did.

Regards

Chris

Thanks John,

Although in a bend I don't suppose you can see a full stop after the LTD can you?

Hi Chris, slipped up on this one I have mistaken an Hampshire and I.OW Firmin badge for the Devonshire one. Atached is a pic of my Devonshire Terr made by J.R Gaunt London Ltd. There is a dot behind the "d" of Ltd. Hopefully if Bess is reading this thread he may supply a pic of the Devonshire Territorials made by Firmin to compare.
Best Regards
