If there's anything in particular you are looking for let me know, I'm based at the RAF regiment Depot.

Posted a couple of comments in the album. When I get my packet from source I will compare them with your album and let you know. There are a few early ones that I know I am missing.

Very interesting Bill.

However, if I might make a small suggestion. A lot of the jpgs are too dark to make out any detail on. Have you thought of making them lighter?

If you do not have the means to do so you can down load a free prog. called "FastStone Image Viewer" from Filehippo:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_fa..._image_viewer/

I have taken the liberty of working on one of your images using this prog. As you can see, the lightened example shows a lot more detail than your original, which I have put next to it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Shaun,

As far as I am aware, they only wore the Battle dress ot tropical dress this would only have had the mudguards on as the DZ flashes were only introduced in the early 80s. Ony a thought though, someone else may know a bit more.

Yes Bill you are correct,I was with 2 Armoured Car Company during this period when we switched over to the Regiment we old lags continued in our own ways and wore no insignia only the replacement drafts wore the mudguards. It always disturbed me that there was not a trade badge when others like ASR got one, after all the battles fought ,the Western Dersert ,Alamein 1942,Irak Rebellion,Syria,Palestine 1936-39, Palestine 1945-48,over to the Regiment occurred 3rd October 1946.

John
