Default WWII Canadian Airborne Plastic Cap badges

Hi I`m new! I joined to learn and to ask questions when I`m disoriented. Many things I do know but others I don't. So I ask those how are better informed then I.

I came across this WWII Canadian Airborne cap badge on E
He does exclaim It`s real and is asking $7us With 26hrs to go. I which it is.

With so many Fakes being sold on E or replicas.

I have seen Cap Badges from WWII they made them in Plastic or Copper??

Thank You for your time.

That badge is the plastic example of the Canadian Parachute Corps. Rare badge. His example looks ok to me. He is asking a strong price, $699.00 US.

Hi Recce, Bill is right, a good bakelite CPB with the circle in the back, with an added bonus, the retaining pin, next to impossible to find alone.Bill is right about the price, a bit rich for the regular collector.
Also, welcome to the Forum.

Hi. Thank you for both of your Replies I contacted the individual he told me the pine is functional. Very nice Immaculate condition. It's not on his Add if it was plastic. But only the plastic ones look like that.

Like I said I know it`s real and in plastic. I`ve seen 2 in my time but with out the Pine. Yes Mucho $$$.

I was asking because I also see from WWII in metal some a Real but many replicas and thats were I need the heads-Up ?

Plastics only made for few years I think 2? so what years if you know.
The pines Holes would break I heard, lose the pine or would break.

The metal was made from what year to what and Metal type.

Thank you for your time It`s Appreciated.

Hi Recce,
First, a belated welcome to the Forum. The Forum is just over 2 years old, and there are now thousands of threads. It is a great reference, and many topics have had several discussions. When looking for information, a check using the Search function will show what has previously been posted.
There are at least 20 different threads about Canadian Parachute Battalion insignia on the Forum. Here is a link to one that answers most of your questions.

By my count, there have been four of these plastic badges sold on ebay in the past year. The average sell price of $700 Canadian might shake out a few more!
