Default Imperial (?) German Electrical Fire Fireman's Helmet.

Perhaps more 1920's - 30's rather than Imperial, this helmet is for some reason a favourite of mine.
Made entirely of leather and otherwise conforming to a common pattern of German fireman's helmet found with various insignia, there are no metal fittings at all.
The emblem of crossed axes and "lightning bolts" in silver and gold is painted on.
The complete absence of any metal fittings combined with the insignia leads me to think this helmet is one that was used by a fireman who specialized in dealing with electrical fires.
I may be wrong.
The chinstrap has been stitched so that it hangs far lower than would be expected and can't be adjusted, this leads me to think that it was worn by a man who sported a fairly substantial beard.

Puts me in mind of Oskar Werner - Fahrenheit 451.

I see what you mean - oh no, a fantasy piece - ah, but he didn't have a beard, so I'm ok.

No, no! Meant simply as an observation, not a criticism
