Post war Cadet Force district patch?
Got this badge with a pair of Duke of Wellington Regt. titles and wondered what it signified.rings a bell but my memory....would like to know if it's postwar or cadets or??? does the WR stand for West Riding?
Thanks for any info...

It is in fact the arm badge for The West Riding of Yorkshire Army Cadet Force, worn from late 1950s until 1974. I wore this badge as a cadet and remember them being discontinued in 1974 when The West Riding became West Yorkshire. At that time the only cadets wearing the cap badge and shoulder titles of the Duke of Wellington's Regiment was "Huddersfield Area" - Yorkshire ACF was organised into Company sized groups known as areas. Huddersfield Area had the following detachments:-
Huddersfield Halifax Skipton Keighley Mirfield Heckmondwike (Grammar School) Thongsbridge ( Holmfirth) And Hipperholme Grammar School Hope that helps a little PL Last edited by oc14; 10-11-16 at 08:45 AM.

I wore it too Mirfield Det. ACF (DWR)! I think I still have it somewhere.
