It's hard to make out the writing on the scroll, but my guess would be Indian Artillery, probably officer's being bronze. I stand to be corrected.

David,

I have a pair of Indian Artillery OSD collars with INDIA on the bottom scroll.

I suppose these could be post partition?

regards

PS

If you click on the image it goes much bigger and the writing is very clear.

Thanks, Simon. I clicked on the picture as you suggested, but it's still unclear what the writing is and whether it's Urdu. I just can't think of any other country which would have/have had an artillery collar badge like that. Any of the other Commonwealth countries would most likely have had 'Ubique' on them. Your guess that it's post-Partition might be right.

Jordan - Arab Legion Artillery.

Scroll Reads Midfiyia al Malikiya - Royal Artillery.

Thanks, Eddie, for putting me out of my misery. I was about to suggest Pakistan.

Eddie, were these collars worn by RA officers seconded to the Legion or just the Arab officers?

British officers seconded to the Arab legion wore exactly the same uniform as Jordanian Officers so the answer is both.
