Rhodesian badged cap

Have had this cap in the collection for many years. Can anybody please confirm if officers or other ranks? I am definitely not an expert and would appreciate any info.

I know SAAF officers wore a Barathea version of the f/s cap early on in the war which was made of the same stuff as their SD jackets but I have also seen photos of serge ones like this being worn by both Other Ranks and Officers.

Hullo Frank. The buttons are standard general service British Coat of Arms KC buttons.
