Unknown Naval Cap Badge......
Hello everyone. I have been asked to identify this naval cap badge.I don't know if it is merchant marine or military or the country of origin.

Looks Japanese/Taiwanese to me, but thats a 100% guess.

I would have thought an aussie one would have had either King's or Queen's crown on it depending on the period. the rising sun looks a bit Taiwanese to me, but I'm not sure.

Well, nationalist China's badge was a blue and white/gold sun burst. which looks mighty similar, AFAIK RAN has always until recently worn similar badges to the RN.

Hi
This is definitely not Australian or Japanese. I think its either Argentinean as has been suggested by flatdog or a cruise liner such as p&o or similar. Im sure Bosleys had one not long ago and was listed as some cruise liner. bc

Thanks Clay and bc,you were right,it is Argentinian Navy. Just found one on e88y and it's supposed to be "original" and "vintage" whatever that means.
