Unknown Naval Cap Badge......
Hello everyone. I have been asked to identify this naval cap badge.I don't know if it is merchant marine or military or the country of origin.

Looks Japanese/Taiwanese to me, but thats a 100% guess.

I would have thought an aussie one would have had either King's or Queen's crown on it depending on the period. the rising sun looks a bit Taiwanese to me, but I'm not sure.

Well, nationalist China's badge was a blue and white/gold sun burst. which looks mighty similar, AFAIK RAN has always until recently worn similar badges to the RN.

This is definitely not Australian or Japanese. I think its either Argentinean as has been suggested by flatdog or a cruise liner such as p&o or similar. Im sure Bosleys had one not long ago and was listed as some cruise liner. bc |

Thanks Clay and bc,you were right,it is Argentinian Navy. Just found one on e88y and it's supposed to be "original" and "vintage" whatever that means.
