Default Current Mess Dress.....

Most interesting to see Australian army mess dress. Quite different from Canadian army mess dress. As a Canadian Logistics officer, my mess dress jacket is scarlet with midnight blue facings and cuffs. Come to think of it, most Canadian army mess dress is similar to what I wear, with a few differences depending on Regiment/Corps or Branch. The only time I have seen a white Canadian mess dress jacket was when it was being worn by a Canadian general officer.
Cheers,
John S.

I think it was to commemorate the Battle of Lone Pine up in Darwin - some USMC officers were invited as they have a presence there these days.
