Army Medical Service armband
Why "Service" and not "Corps"? The armband appears to be WW1 when it was the RAMC. Any comments appreciated.

Army Medical Service arm band.
These were worn by all personnel involved in medical duties, i.e. RAMC/QAIMNS/QARANC/TFNS/TANS/VADS and by ambulance crews of the ASC/RASC and the volunteer uniformed civilian units under military command in both world wars and beyond, not solely by RAMC personnel.

Army Medical Services
I believe that the "Army Medical Services" stamp on a red cross arm band is a requirement of the Geneva Convention
