Sounds quite interesting. I will let some Provincial leg show here and say that the whole landed estate and nobility structure is fascinating but foreign to my understanding. A place for everyone and everyone securely in their place.
My exposure is solely from watching "Downton Abbey" and a similar theme presented on that series. While on that topic why cant they shoot more episodes for us poor Yanks, this season is now over. The wife and I will have nothing to do after dinner on Sunday evenings. However the Selfridges series is about to kick off so we can again get our fix of everyday life in Edwardian England. Mr. Selfridge was quite a rounder. Everyone was trying to do their share in the war and that is a good thing. I can only assume that any of the wounded soldiers who may have spent time in recovery at these great estates were surely in awe at the splendor. Hopefully I did not take this too far off topic Best Jack
