Default Info for BEF service man

Gentlemen
A friend of mine is trying to find info concerning a BEF member. What website would I find this info. Would it be similar to the LAC website?
Thanks for any help.

Can you please clarify the meaning of BEF?

To me it means the the British Expeditionary Force which existed in both World Wars and was made up of a large number of formations ranging from Corps, Divisions and Brigades to Regiments and Companies. Whilst someone may have spoken of serving in the BEF their actual service record would relate to their regiment or Corps; for example in the Second World War 2nd Bn Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, British Expeditionary Force.

Please educate me if there is another explanation of BEF that I am not aware of!

Jon

Some more specifics would aid in attempting to help in this quest. If WWI related the Great War forum is the best, while for WWII, it is not so cut and dry, but perhaps with some more information members here might be able to help, or at least point in the right direction.
