Default French? Belgium?

no idea on this badge but would guess French or Belgium.... any ideas? thanks Jim

Hi Paul and Jim. Paul is probably on the right track with this. This could be the cipher of King Victor Emmanuel III 1900-1946. According to informations this cap badge could be for the Military Police. Italy became a republic after the war and then changed the cipher.

thanks for confirming that thought I was correct that grenade shape never changes in Italy just changes size

Cousin Jack. Previous ID for Italy corrrect, this is the capbadge of the Carabiniere,circa WW2
