Default Chrome Toronto Scottish

All,
I just obtained a very nice full size chromed Toronto Scottish badge which I believe to be genuine, although not particularly old. At what time period were these chromed badges worn, or would this be just a particular style not linked to any particular era? Thanks,

CB

Many of the Canadian Forces militia badges were "chromed" finish during the 1980's-1990's. However, there may be other explanations for the finish. It may have been for the band.
Are the lugs chromed on your example?

From the Canadian medals Ive seen over here in the UK I know your vets in Canada love "the plate"...............perhaps an example plated by a veteran?

Thanks,
Yes, the lugs are plated. It is quite a heavy badge.
