Comparisons: 10th Royal Hussars
Not a rare badge, but what a difference between two makers.
On the left a HW Timings BHam which totally outshines a slightly smaller inferior Firmin London. Lovely deep gold lustre to the Timings. On the reverse which I have't photographed the Timings is all silver with a high slider position compared to the Firmin, which is all gold on the back. |

Hi Harry,
Yes, manufacturers variations are quite common and for these two badges quite wide. If you want to see another set of differences between makers check out the Gaunt and S&W Royal Scots Greys. Regards Chris |

Also check out the badge of 11th Hussars, described as a pillar charged with the Arms of Saxony rising out of a ducal coronet.
Gaunt badge has a wide pillar, whilst the Firmin version is very much narrower. |
