Heavily padded shoulder eagles
These may be common and I have just not noticed others before, but I have 2 heavily padded white on black/dark blue background eagles.
Can any RAF collectors please say if they are unusual. Thanks P.B.

Sorry but these are NOT shoulder eagles. They are examples of the "Provisonal Flying Badge" as worn by University Air Squadrons. They are worn as per RAF Flying Wings to indicate flying achievement. See: http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ictureid=65761

Thanks Dragon,
It all makes sense they came with some University Air Squadron items. I presume they are fairly common ? P.B.
