Canadian Guards fantasy piece...?
An ebay lot advertising a bullion wire beret badge for the Canadian Guards. In my research, there never was such a badge while the unit was active.

Hi Bill, or more likely a blazer jacket crest (depending on the size).

Bullion badges?
I have seen wholesale bullion badges, representing many of the WW2 Cdn badges, all made in Pakistan, being offered by dealers in the US, The dealer could NOT identify any of the ones that did not have the name on the badge, hehehe!, they all looked like they were made last week. and they were poorly done as well.

Interesting topic here. I have an Irish Regiment of Canada Bullion Badge that I have always wondered about. I have never known the Regiment to wear a bullion badge, nor can I find any proof of one being worn in photos etc. I initially thought this badge may have been adopted when the Beret was but I have found nothing to prove this idea. I more expect this to be an other fantasy badge.
All in all, not a bad looking badge. Just would like to be able to prove it out one way or the other.
