Default Research - Personalities

For the benefit of local historians I am seeking to amplify the very sparse details on a memorial in my local church (Somerset) of four men from the parish who died in World War 2.
Could a resident expert suggest how I could proceed? For example - one of the entries on the memorial reads:

Sgt Victor John Cox Som LI Commando Regt (as carved)

There are three others: Lt RA, Lt KRRC and Sgt Pilot RAF

Any ideas would be very welcome.
Thanks
Mike

Try them for the others, sometimes gives more info on the certificate page

Who was the KRRC officer?

He ought to have an obit in the KRRC Chronicle.

If you post his name and the year of death I will see what I can find.

Many thanks both - your help is much appreciated. What a gruesome end for someone born and raised in peaceful North Cadbury.
