Default Just posted an Album of my anodised Badges opions sought

Hi
I have just posted an album of my anodised badge collection. There is my DCLI badge and some others which are probably run of the mill and not in the same rareity as the DCLI one but would love to hear from members if there are any others of interest.

Thanks

Rob

Hi
Feel a bit of a plank as I should have typed SLI and not DCLI, I have amended the title on picture in album and thanks to the person who spotted my mistake.

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob,

They maily look good to me but I think the two worded 'BY DAND' is a dud being an exact copy of the brass version with the same die flaws.

Album starts here:

Chris,
a bit off thread here but the "BY DAND" and "BYDAND" Gordon's badges are IMO nothing more than Makers Variations, I have perfectly Genuine examples of both in White Metal, Silver Anodised and also the "Fake" Brass examples.

Hi Andy,

The 'BY DAND' A/A came from the same die as the brass version and reconiles exactly on multiple die flaws. I checked this out over ayear ago with an A/A example purchased from the Royal Tank Museum at Bovington.

If you get a 20 power loop and look around you will see what I mean - check out the right eye (when viewing) and a bit of slag close to one of the letters in the scroll - I think it was the 'B' or the 'Y'.

Regards

Chris

Chris,
I will check my anodised badges when I get home! As for the Wm versions IMO they are both 100% genuine, again I will recheck at the weekend!

Hi ANdy,

This is the sort of thing you need:

http://cgi.ebay.com/2PC-30x-21mm-40x...item19bcd83b98

I mainly use a 20x and sometimes a 30x power.

As you can see, they cost very little and some even have built in light sources.

Regards

Chris
