Default Royal Leicesterhire Regiment Beret Badge & Backing

Is this the correct patch to be worn on The R. Leicester's beret?
I ca'nt remember what they wore & this "tombstone" seems rather dinky & is worn 1 1/4" above the lethaer sweatband.

I should've mentioned that the collar badges were fitted on the beret when I got it.

Default R. Leics Regt beret badge backing

A green badge backing was officially authorised in August 1950 but I don't know what the design was. I would be happy that your badges and beret are contemporary.

Stephen.

Hi Leigh,

What is the maker mark on the rear of the cap badge?

Regards

Chris

"J.R. GAUNT B'HAM", the slider's cut off after the "H", it did'nt come with the beret, the cut in the beret is for a slider that's set a bit higher than on this badge, which has it fitted a fraction below the top of the tiger's back.
