Default East Anglian Brigade A/A Badge

Hi Guys,

Does anyone else have a version of this badge by Gaunt?

Note that it is marked J.R.GAUNT LONDON and has bend 'pegs' to hold the front part of the badge to the rear piece.

This version of the badge is found on one of the Standard Sealed Pattern cards held at the Imperial War Museum.

Regards

Chris

Default East Anglian Brigade A/A Badge

Hi Chris

Could this be what you are looking for?

While they are not bent pegs, as in your post, they were once but have been rounded off and look rather more like the heads of rivets. There are three of them, the third one is obscured by the slider.

Best wishes

Gordon

Thanks Gordon,

Not really - this is a later Gaunt item probably from 1966 onwards and they have been domed/flattened. Mine seems to be from 1958 as per one of the standard sealed pattern cards and is not as sophisticated in the attachment procedure.

It's just that I have a feeling that the one I have is quite scarce and I'm looking for others to confirm. In fact it could be an original sample left over form those not used in the pattern cards. Of course, if loads of my version turn up then I will be wrong.

Regards

Chris

Interesting dates as the Brigade ceased to exist in 1964.

Hi Alan,

Yes - Badjes has been doing a lot of work in this area and the badge may have been used by other units post 1964 hence the J.R.GAUNT B'HAM version.

Chris

Chris,

Very unlikely as the Royal Anglian badge was taken into use in 1964 by Regular and TA.
