Default Help needed for unknown uniforms ranks.

Hello all. I need the Forum's members help in identifying these rank badges on this shirt. The shirt was obtained from a military museum in Canada. The story told at the time was that this item was given by a former Canadian officer who got it in the far-east. Could it be North Vietnamese ???? Since Canadian officers were in Viet Nam for the cease fire in 1973.
Any and all comments will be appreciated.

Question

Hi Jo,

Perhaps a North Vietnamese major. I can not find an illustration , only a description. The one silver star matches. It depends what is meant by 2 stripes. Best I can do.
